Spanish, noun: 1. A run 2. A bullfight 3. Slang: An orgasm 4. A journey

Award-winning restaurateur Bryan Dayton and chef Amos Watts commissioned Arch11 to create a space inspired by their travels to the Basque Country of northern Spain. The result is Corrida, inhabiting a modern rooftop aerie atop the Pearl West Building in downtown Boulder, Colorado. Designed to be sophisticated, contemporary, and fun but also soft enough to support an auditory and sensory experience, the space encourages diners to truly relax into the food experience.

Studded leather walls, swirling lassos of light, and a warm walnut bar with backlit steer skulls overhead nod to the Spanish bullfighting tradition while floor-to-ceiling windows and a large penthouse patio celebrate the awe-inspiring Colorado landscape. The primary lighting is a line, a corrida, playfully dancing through the dining space while the kitchen is partially screened by custom wine and aged meat coolers, which serve as intermediaries between the cooked and the raw.
